Creative Loafing Announces Several Staff Changes

In a memo to staff, Creative Loafing, Inc. CEO Marty Petty announced several personnel changes today.

Tammy Bailey was named Vice President/CFO, making her the company’s top financial executive. In addition, Alison Draper, who has served concurrent roles as publisher of the Chicago Reader as well as the Chief Sales Officer for the CL corporate office, will lead the company’s digital sales team and adds VP to her title.

“Less than a year since becoming publisher, Alison has positioned the Reader in the hands of exceptional editorial and sales leadership; Mara Shalhoup and R.J. Flowers respectively,” wrote Petty. “And it’s now time to complete the alignment of our entire sales operation under Alison’s leadership.”

Petty also announced the promotions of Chris Herring to Director of Digital Marketing, David Walker to Director of Digital Sales, and Brett Murphy to Director of Digital Product Development. Walker and Murphy had previously been serving as Advertising Directors at the Washington City Paper and Chicago Reader, respectively.

Creative Loafing, Inc. is the parent company of the Chicago Reader, Washington City Paper, as well as Creative Loafing in Atlanta, Charlotte and Tampa.
