Metro Times Announces New Editor-in-Chief

Metro Times, Detroit’s award-winning weekly alternative news magazine, is pleased to announce the recent hire of Bryan Gottlieb as Editor-in-Chief.

An award-winning journalist, Gottlieb brings talent and nearly 20 years of experience in both print and digital media to the position. Most recently, Gottlieb was the creator and launch editor of Red Thread magazine, a monthly news and lifestyles periodical published by the owner of the Detroit Jewish News. Other accomplishments include running newsroom operations for several community newspapers around the Westside of Los Angeles and daily business reporting in San Diego. He began his career as a writer for Adweek magazine in New York, covering the Internet advertising industry.

Born in Detroit and raised in suburban West Bloomfield, Gottlieb received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University and a Master of Arts degree from UCLA. He currently resides in Oakland County with his wife and their three children.
