If you need an excuse to rub shoulders with some of the most powerful people in the motion picture industry, AAN has come up with a good one again this year.

From 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, AAN will put on a reception at ShoWest, the National Association of Theatre Owners’ official convention. Debra Silvestrin, AAN’s director of meetings and special projects, will organize and attend the reception in Bally’s Hotel in Las Vegas. AAN has participated in the motion picture industry’s largest annual convention since 1995. The association’s reception is known for offering mini-massages to weary show-biz people, along with refreshments and AAN member directories.

Each year, a number of AAN members attend the convention for the opportunity to meet studio distribution and agency personnel who might be interested in buying advertising in alternative newsweeklies.
