Ryan Learmouth and Tiffany Kildale joined the staff of the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies on July 26.
Learmouth, AAN’s new assistant editor, will create new content for many sections of the aan.org Web site and will help AAN members update their profiles. He will also assist editor Ruth Hammond with the AltWeeklies.com Web site.
In 1999, Learmouth graduated summa cum laude from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., where he earned a major in media arts and design/media writing, and a minor in English. He has worked as a writer/editor for AOL CityGuide, as a Webmaster for a wine and spirits shop, and as a literary associate for a New York City literary agency, Authors and Artists Group.
Tiffany Kildale is AAN’s new sales and marketing assistant. In May, she graduated from Elon University in Elon, N.C., where she majored in journalism. As she put herself through school, she worked as a waitress, an assistant teacher at a day care and a sales associate at Victoria’s Secret. She also volunteered at the Special Olympics in Elon.
Kildale will assist AAN’s director of sales and marketing, Roxanne Cooper, with the AAN Classified Advertising Network (known as AAN CAN) and will also help with special projects.
