Boulder Weekly, Colorado Springs Independent, Salt Lake City Weekly, and the Santa Fe Reporter were all winners in the 2013 Top of the Rockies contest held by the Society of Professional Journalists’ Colorado Pro chapter.

Competing in the 10K-30K circulation division, Boulder Weekly won 28 awards, including 11 first-place awards.

In the 30K-75K circulation division, Salt Lake City Weekly received 22 awards, nine of which were first-place awards. Colorado Springs Independent received 16 awards overall and seven first-place nods. And the Santa Fe Reporter picked up two awards, one of which was a first-place award.

SPJ Region 9 encompasses the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
