Duncan Black, better known in the blogosphere as Atrios, will be Saturday’s lunch speaker at the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies’ AAN East regional conference at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C.
In addition to running the blog Eschaton, Black is a senior fellow at Media Matters for America, a not-for-profit progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.
He received his Ph.D in economics from Brown University. Before joining Media Matters he held several research and teaching positions, most recently at Bryn Mawr College. He’ll be making the trip to D.C. from Philadelphia, where he lives with his wife and their two cats.
