Some hapless communications intern at the Democratic National Committee is likely in hot water for overlooking the fact that the word “fucking” made its way into an email blast promoting an upcoming rally for President Obama.

The expletive came courtesy of Philadelphia City Paper‘s Jeffery C. Billman, who wrote the following in a blog post yesterday:

Just got word from a Democratic source that The Roots, who campaigned for Obama in 2008 and are fucking awesome, will perform next Sunday as part of President Obama’s Move America Forward Rally.

The DNC included the entire quote in their promotional email and Fox News noticed the gaffe, with predictable results.
