Four AAN publications picked up awards from the San Francisco Peninsula Press Club on Saturday.
San Francisco Bay Guardian won seven awards on the night, including the Overall Excellence award and three other first place honors:
- News Columns: Columns by Tim Redmond
- News Story: “Buying Power” by Rebecca Bowe & Steven T. Jones
- Specialty Story: “Marijuana Goes Mainstream” by Steven T. Jones
Palo Alto Weekly also took home seven awards, winning first place in the Entertainment category for, “Bravo to Boulevard,” by Karla Kane.
East Bay Express earned three first place awards:
- Editorial: “Be Cool” by Stephen Buel
- Feature Story of a Serious Nature: “Oakland Invades the Desert” by Nate Seltenrich
- Page Design: “Be Cool” by Stephen Buel
SF Weekly rounded out the honorees with five awards on the night.
