NEW YORK, NY — The Village Voice is proud to be the premiere float and exclusive local print sponsor of The 34th Annual Village Halloween Parade, the largest public Halloween celebration in the country. The parade will take place on October 31, 2007 at 7:00pm and will proceed up 6th Avenue from Spring Street to 21st Street.

In celebration of this unique event, The Voice is providing a special hotline to give the public the most up to date information about the parade. In addition, The Voice is also providing their readers with a handy site to help guide them to the parade (see below).

This year’s float will be themed “Roller Disco Zombies” and will be the first to appear down 6th Avenue. The float will feature the Gotham Roller Derby girls and zombies all grooving to the sounds of the disco era courtesy of the DJ who will be spinning atop of the action. The float will be sponsored by Spirit Halloween Superstores and Budweiser Beer.

The annual event draws an estimated 2 million people along the parade route while it is seen by another 4 million people watching on television.
