Nine AAN-members were honored in the California Newspaper Publishers Association’s (CNPA) annual awards ceremony on April 27.
Palo Alto Weekly picked up the coveted general excellence award along with 12 other awards including 1st place in the Coverage of Local Government category, 2nd place in Best Writing and 1st place in Best Website.
“This was a clear winner. The depth and range of its coverage is impressive. The paper is easy to manage, handsome to look at and satisfying to read. The editors obviously take seriously their public service obligation. Good journalism, classy look, fine paper,” said the CNPA in their description of Palo Alto Weekly.
