Former AAN Marketing Director Adam Ebbin is running for Virginia state delegate in a heavily Democratic district that encompasses parts of Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax.

Ebbin resigned his position as chief deputy commissioner of labor and industry for the state of Virginia to campaign for the open seat against at least five other candidates in the June 10 primary. The general election is Nov. 4.

Political insiders in Richmond have called Ebbin’s race one of the most competitive in the state. If elected, he would be the first openly gay delegate in Virginia history.
