AOL says that it has hired former Boston Phoenix editor Lance Gould as its project editor.
In a release to AAN, programming director Saul Hansell says, “Lance’s proven leadership creating compelling award-winning journalism, mixing great writing and artful use of data is just what we need as we continue to evolve the content platform at AOL. He’s going to help us work with the nation’s most talented writers, photographers and videographers to create exciting content in all of the areas AOL covers.”
Gould was let go by the Boston Phoenix in June as part of an editorial shake-up.
