What caught my eye about cityandpress.com is that it aggregates local news, and at first glance it would appear to be an alt-weekly competitor. However, this thing seems to be on autopilot, i.e., all software, no people. It’s a robo-aggregator! And it has the personality to match. I’ll go out on a limb and say that the audience for this thing doesn’t overlap much with our audience.
