Orlando, Fla.—March 2, 2004—Orlando Weekly, Central Florida’s alternative source for news, views, arts and entertainment, will have a new look and feel with the March 4 issue.
The Weekly, established as a true alternative newspaper in 1995, has been redesigned from front to back. The new look is cleaner, bolder and more modern.
But the changes, the first complete redesign since 1995, amount to much more than new fonts. The design highlights expanded dining coverage, a new nightlife column (Blister) by Weekly regular Billy Manes, a new sports column (Bad Sport) by Real Radio 104.1 personality Drew Garabo, a news recap (Happytown™) by Weekly editor Bob Whitby, and a section of critics’ picks (Selections) to help you plan your weekend. Local news, politics, and the best music and arts coverage in Central Florida will continue to be a staple of the new Weekly, says Whitby.
“This only cements our position as the finest newspaper in all the land,” says Whitby. “All others pale in comparison. If you don’t find the new version to be at least 130 percent better than the old, we will refund your purchase price, no questions asked.”
Orlando Weekly is available free every Thursday at more than 1,300 locations throughout Central Florida, or check it out on the web at www.orlandoweekly.com.
