Three AAN publications have been announced as finalists in the Society of Publication Designers annual awards.

Seattle Weekly‘s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” repeal cover is a finalist in the Cover Photo category, SF Weekly is a Cover Illustration finalist for Brian Stauffer’s “Worlds Apart,” and the Village Voice is a finalist in the Sequential Comic category with comics by Ward Sutton.

The competition in those categories includes the likes of the New York Times, O Magazine, Billboard and GQ.

SPD will announce Gold and Silver Medal winners in each category at an awards gala in New York on May 13.
