Biography
Founded in 1993, The Inlander has quickly become the most trusted source of news and entertainment information for the sprawling Inland Northwest. While the majority of our readership lives in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area — a fast-growing part of the West with some 600,000 residents — our circulation area stretches from Sandpoint, Idaho, in the North to Pullman, Wash., in the South; and from Cheney, Wash., in the West to Kellogg, Idaho, in the East. The Inlander has enjoyed the nation’s highest market penetration among alternative weeklies for four of the past five years (according to the Media Audit), and we have continued to grow by recently adding a separate once-a- year Annual Manual and a bi-monthly health magazine, InHealthNW. We have twice been honored as the best weekly newspaper by the Inland Northwest Society of Professional Journalists, which covers Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon and all of Idaho and Montana.
