Founded in 2018, Native-owned Verified News Network (VNN) is deeply committed to fostering trust and building genuine connections within our communities. Recognizing the long history of exploitation faced by Indigenous peoples from government and mainstream news entities, we prioritize a personalized approach to cultivating organic relationships with those we serve and work alongside. Through partnerships with Tribal news media, Native organizations, Indigenous individuals, and Indigenous allies, VNN has fostered a deeper understanding of the issues of Indigenous and other underrepresented people across the media landscape. Our news and information are disseminated through the VNN app, a web-based platform of collaboratively generated content, as well as via email and in-person events.
