Boise Weekly has named Zach Hagadone as its next editor-in-chief. He fills the slot left vacant since October, when longtime editor Rachael Daigle stepped down.
“Zach Hagadone brings 10 years of professional journalism experience with him, and I believe he is the perfect man for the job,” said publisher Sally Freeman in a blog post. “Zach knows Idaho, journalism excellence and the importance of our role as the independent voice in this great state that we all call home.”
Hagadone was the author of an AAN-commissioned article on efforts by the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and other interest groups to restrict ballot access through voter ID laws. The piece ran in several AAN publicatons nationwide prior to the 2012 U.S. presidential election.
