Dig Boston has released the following statement on yesterday’s attack on the Boston Marathon:
Dear Reader,
In the midst of what is our proudest day of the year, when the eyes of the world are upon us, Boston
was attacked. We don’t know who did it, or why, but we do know how we’re going to react. We’re not going
to speculate. We’re not going to be scared. We’re going to be strong, and we’re going to support the shit
out of one another, because that’s what we do. In his address to the nation, President Obama
said: “Boston is a tough and resilient town. So are its people.” He doesn’t know the half of it.Boston doesn’t do terror. It does angry.
I routinely count myself among the most fortunate on the planet for knowing the people I know
and loving the people I love here in this city. I am never more keenly aware of that than when those
people are put in danger. My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, and I know yours do too. We’re here for you, Boston. Because you’re here for us.
We got this.
