AAN and the editorial committee are launching the first in a series of live chats with the 2009 winners of AAN’s annual journalism contest. The live chats are based on AAN’s “How I Got that Story” series, in which writers discuss their work.
The first live chat will be hosted right here on aan.org on Friday, Sept. 25 at 3 pm EST (that’s 1 pm MST and noon Pacific Time, or if you live in Arizona).
John Dickerson, who won first place for investigative reporting in the 50,000 and greater circulation division for his Phoenix New Times series, “Prescription for Disaster,” will be joined by Phoenix New Times managing editor Amy Silverman for a conversation moderated by Editorial Committee member Anne Schindler, editor of Folio Weekly.
The first 15 minutes of the live chat will be a closed interview between Dickerson, Silverman and Schindler and the second 15 minutes will be open for questions to anyone viewing the live chat.
This and all other live chats in this series will be archived in the AAN resource library and accessible to members at any time.
Please contact AAN Editorial Chair Julia Goldberg if you have any questions about the event or series.
