City Newspaper, Rochester’s alternative newsweekly, launched its new, upgraded website, www.rochestercitynewspaper.com, on Wednesday, January 24.

The new website — constructed by web design firm Seen Creative, a pair of RIT graduates — will be a new online source for Rochester news, arts, events, nightlife, music, and dining. The site will continue to carry City Newspaper’s award-winning print articles, and will be supplemented with:

Interactive features, including weekly user polls, RSS feeds, daily blogs, user comments, and searchable events listings.

A local restaurant guide, a directory of more than 300 area restaurants searchable by restaurant name, cuisine type, neighborhood, and price range.

Music artist pages: free profile pages available to area bands, where musicians can upload photos, bios, MP3s, and concert dates.

The renovated site is the first phase in City’s print and online expansion plans. For more information about the new website, contact features editor Eric Rezsnyak at 244-3329, x. 25 or e-mail themail@rochester-citynews.com.
