Carlton Hargro, editor in chief of Creative Loafing in Charlotte, N.C., was recently named as one of “The Root 100” by The Root.com, an African-American news website owned by the Washington Post.
The Root 100 is a list that’s compiled every year by the website; it’s designed to honor 100 “young achievers and pace setters” from across the nation who the site editors feel “represent the ideals of The Root.”
About the honor, Hargro offered: “The Root is an incredibly respected site. And I’m glad to be in such heavy-duty company.”
