NOW Magazine co-founder, editor and publisher Michael Hollett has resigned from NOW Magazine in order to focus on the North by Northeast (NXNE) music festival. Alice Klein, who co-founded NOW with Hollett in 1981, will continue to lead the paper as editor and CEO.
From the Toronto Star:
Hollett, meanwhile, will focus on the rebuilding of NXNE — which changed its format from a citywide club crawl to a more traditional, two-day festival centred in Toronto’s port lands last month — with increased support from his longtime silent partners at Austin’s massive South by Southwest festival. This year’s experiment with the new NXNE format went well enough that he already has plans to expand the fest to two weekends in 2017.
