In an homage to the classic post-9/11 cover of The Village Voice, next month’s Reader’s Digest features the same photo that originally appeared in the Voice ten years ago.

“We loved the original so much,” said Robert Newman, who was named creative director of Reader’s Digest earlier this summer.

Newman (who’s had a hand in designing previous Voice covers) told us that his team wants to make sure that The Village Voice, and photographer Andre Souroujon, get as much credit as possible.
