Voice Media Group has sold the Village Voice to Peter D. Barbey, investor and President of the Reading Eagle Company, a family-owned media company.
"We're very proud of the work our staff has done in St. Louis, and we'll miss them," said VMG executive associate editor Andy Van De Voorde.
Cleveland-based company purchases multimedia property from Voice Media Group.
Dirks, Van Essen & Murray will begin by immediately considering options at the OC Weekly, which could include the sale of the publication or a local partnership opportunity.
