Alt-Weekly writers are well-represented in the list of finalists for the 2011 James Beard Foundation Awards.
Perennial award-hog Jonathan Gold (L.A. Weekly) is up for the prestigious M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing Award, and his “99 Things to Eat in L.A. Before You Die” is contending in the Food-related Feature category.
