Chicago Reader Announces The Reader Real Deal

Shop locally and support Chicago’s great neighborhoods

The Chicago Reader, a trusted partner for local business for nearly 40 years, announces the launch of the Reader Real Deal – an online program offering spectacular 50-80% discounts on Live Music, Theater, Restaurants, Events, Services, Retail, and Attractions with a strong focus on the unique neighborhoods in Chicago.

The first Reader Real Deal offer launches Friday, Dec. 10 for a premiere screening on Jan. 21 of William S. Burroughs: A Man Within at the Music Box Theatre. This event will also feature appearances by the film’s director, Yony Leyser, and Reader writer Ed M. Koziarski, who wrote an in-depth article about the making of the film.

Deals will typically be posted at 10 am Mondays through Fridays at www.chicagoreader.com/RealDeal, and will remain active for 24 to 96 hours. “The Chicago Reader and ChicagoReader.com have consistently been the go-to newspaper and Web site for all-things local and unique,” said Alison Draper, the Reader’s Publisher. “From our years of partnering with businesses large and small, we plan to bring unique deals to our readers while at the same time helping promote the great businesses serving Chicago.”

Consumers can opt into the Reader Real Deal email list at www.chicagoreader.com/RealDeal. Everyone signed up before Thursday, Dec. 9 will be automatically entered into a raffle to win free IMAX passes, Stanley’s certificates, Jazz Record Mart gift cards, and more.
