Creative Loafing Charlotte Publisher Wendy Goldstein Retires

Creative Loafing Charlotte publisher Wendy Goldstein announced her retirement this week:

Goldstein came to Creative Loafing in 2010 from the Charlotte Observer, where she served as classified advertising manager, and prior to that, retail sales manager. During her tenure at CL, Goldstein managed the editorial and business operations of the newspaper; she also oversaw the launch of Creative Loafing‘s deals program CL Deals as well as the implementation of a digital advertising program.

Yesterday was Goldstein’s last day with the paper. Chris Ferrell, CEO of parent company SouthComm, says a replacement has not yet been named.

“I am interviewing both internal and external candidates and will be taking my time to find the right person to lead the paper,” said Ferrell.
