Elaine Wolff Resigns as Editor of San Antonio Current

The San Antonio Express is reporting that effective yesterday today, Elaine Wolff has resigned as editor of the San Antonio Current. She has held the editor position at the paper since 2006.

According to the article, her resignation was devoid of any drama:

“There’s nothing super exciting about my leaving,” Wolff, 42, said, adding that she wants to take time off before jumping back into freelance writing. She plans to visit her daughter, who will teach in Minnesota as part of Teach for America, and spend more time with her husband and three sons.

Wolff has been honored twice in AAN’s AltWeekly Awards, taking first place in the 2005 Media Reporting / Criticism category.
