The Phoenix Helps Advertisers Dig Out from the ‘Blizzard of ’05’

BOSTON — February 24, 2005 — In an effort to help its loyal advertisers, the Boston Phoenix has extended an absolutely free – no strings attached advertising credit to its customers affected by the harsh winter. Specifically contract advertisers whose ads appeared in the paper’s 1/28/05 issue – the issue covering the dates of the ‘Blizzard of ’05’ – will receive a credit equal to the dollar amount of what they spent in that issue to be used on the Phoenix’s award winning websites.

By giving advertisers the extra exposure on-line, they will have a great opportunity to compliment their current print advertising and stimulate additional business to help make up for some that was undoubtedly lost during this year’s snowstorms. Every advertiser will receive a dollar for dollar credit on what they spent in the 1/28 issue – so everyone can get the chance to benefit, the minimum credit will be 10,000 tile impressions.

The Phoenix websites receive over 300,000 unique users per month for its editorial content and listings, and “web exclusive” commentary. Phoenix web visitors generate over 1.5 million page views each month and millions of ad impressions.
