For Immediate Release: Seattle, WA. – July 8, 2003- The Stranger, the nation’s most profitable alternative weekly newspaper, today announced the hiring of Roger “Hank” Thornhill to the position of Circulation Staffer of the The Stranger.
Thornhill began his career as a clerk at Midnight Video in November 2002, where he was responsible for the company’s clerk functions, including clerking, strategic planning and sales, credit and collections, as well as the company’s late delivery bin emptier.
In his new position as circulation staffer, Thornhill will be responsible for delivering the paper in his 1982 Suburban. Mr. Thronhill also owns a 27″ Trinitron television set and a “Juice Man” juicer (which he rarely uses.)
Commenting on Thornhills promotion, Stranger Publisher Tim Keck said, “Hank is a valuable addition to our business, and his extensive experience in driving and his proven leadership skills will continue to strengthen our financial performance.”
Thornhill came to the Stranger with more than twelve years driving experience in various vehicles including a “three on the tree” F-10 and a rare 1964 dodge dart 270 with “push-button gears” and vinyl interior. Prior to his career with the Midnight Video Company, Thornhill was a teller at Washington Mutual in Madison Valley.
Thornhill has been a member of Netflix since June 18, 2003 he holds a BA in International Relations and is divorced with no children.
