EASTHAMPTON, MA, Oct. 26 — The Valley Advocate, one of the nation’s oldest alternative newsweeklies, publishes today its case for the election of Deval Patrick for the highest office in Massachusetts.

In his article “The Case for Deval: Seven Reasons To Pull The Lever For Deval Patrick On Nov. 7,” staff writer Andrew Varnon articulates why Patrick should be the first Democratic Governor of Massachusetts in 15 years. Varnon has been covering the Patrick campaign for the Valley Advocate for the last eighteen months, exploring both the local and national implications.

The front running Patrick served in the Clinton Administration and would be the second black governor elected in the United States.
