Ad Awards Contest Finalists Announced

Entries Yield Fifty-Six Finalists, Winners to be Announced in Phoenix.

After reviewing 302 entries for the third annual AAN Advertising Awards Contest, the judges have narrowed the field to 21 papers and 56 finalists.

This year’s big winner is LA Weekly, which grabbed 14 winning entries, 10 more than the closest runner-up.

Several other publications were awarded multiple winners, including Baltimore City Paper, which nabbed four winning entries, and Boston Phoenix, OC Weekly, Austin Chronicle and Willamette Week, with three each.

The order of finish in each category will be announced during a special luncheon on Friday, June 2 at the AAN convention in Phoenix.
