Metro Times Newest Party Comes to Royal Oak Friday September 23rd!
Royal Oak (September 23, 2011) – Decadence, this fall’s over-the-top party, will come to life at the Royal Oak Music Theater on Friday, September 23. Decadence will feature your favorite cocktails, specialty bars, and delicious desserts from the finest restaurants and bakeries. Did we mention burlesque from the Detroit Dizzy Dames??!!
Tickets are available through royaloakmusictheatre.com or at the Royal Oak Music Theater ticket window, weekdays noon-6 p.m., and the Metro Times offices. Tickets are $22 in advance, $30 at the door. With top-notch entertainment, high quality cocktails and unsurpassed desserts, Decadence will sell out and become a can’t-miss annual event!
Detroit Dizzy Dames, a burlesque and variety troupe based out of Detroit MI., will provide the evening’s entertainment. You may remember them from their 2010 Metro Times cover. Detroit Dizzy Dames will bring 12 performers from their troupe trained in the art of burlesque. The Dames’ show will feature many forms of entertainment including singing, comedy, choreographed dance, silhouette dancing, sideshow, cheesecake teasing, fetish, fire and parody. Speaking of tempting, incredible cocktails and specialty bars will be provided by Finlandia, Chambord, Jack Daniel’s, Korbel, Southern Comfort, Old Forester, Tuaca, Herradura, El Jimadur and Woodford Reserve. Each attendee will receive four drinks with entry! Guests will feast on an endless sample of desserts from ten great local restaurants. Melting Pot, Treat Dreams, Angelina Italian Bistro, Just Baked, Greengos, The Henry Ford Museum, Cupcakes & More, Bottom Line Coffee House, Peteet’s Famous Cheesecakes, Let Then Eat Cake are among the many dessert purveyors that will be on hand.
