Three More Alternative Publications Partner with SpinGo

Draper, UT – SpinGo Solutions, Inc. today announced new partnerships with several alternative weekly newspapers and magazines. Folio Weekly (Jacksonville, FL), Little Village Mag (Iowa City) and RVA Mag (Richmond, VA) all join SpinGo’s network of more than 500 partners and have chosen the Salt Lake City-based company to manage event content across their local markets. SpinGo’s web-based calendar application also integrates into each of the partner’s website or mobile application.

“Partnering with SpinGo was a great decision.” said Matt Steele, Publisher for Little Village. “Our calendar is now more comprehensive than ever before, and joining their network has made all of our content easily discoverable to new readers that are searching for events in our area. It’s also had a great impact on work flow by reducing staff-hours spent curating, and by streamlining production with easy, intuitive, fully customizable exports.”

Kreg Peeler, SpinGo Founder and CEO, said the SpinGo Event Engine™ is an ideal fit for alternative publications. “We are passionate about events, and that passion is shared among our alt weekly partners. We provide accurate, human-verified content on a hyperlocal level, which is essential for these publications.”

SpinGo launched nationwide in September 2012 after researching market need and refining its product. In addition to alternative newspapers, the company provides a robust calendar interface that more than 500 media properties—from blogs to mainstream news media—have embedded into their websites. The content displayed in the application is gathered from more than 80,000 sources. It’s then verified by SpinGo’s team, providing significant time savings to partners.

“SpinGo saves us a significant amount of time and money,” says Sam Taylor of Folio Weekly. “Previously we had to have several staff members dedicated to our event listings. Now that SpinGo provides us that service, we can focus more on covering those events rather than just getting them entered into the system.”
