Colorado Springs Independent Launches Multimedia Best Of 2010 With an Apple iPad Giveaway

The Independent’s Best Of 2010 VOTE campaign kicked off with multimedia, print, cyber, radio, TV and guerilla marketing designed to rally the Pikes Peak region to VOTE for favorites in Food and Drink, Shopping, Services, Nightlife, Daylife and Personalities. It runs from Aug. 5 to Aug. 31, and results appear on Oct. 14 and Oct. 21.

The Indy is doing a large-scale traditional media campaign for this years Best Of that includes a TV spot on ABC affiliate KRDO News Channel 13, as well as promotion on KRDO News Radio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM, 94.3 KILO Colorado’s Pure Rock Station, The Alternative 103.9 RXP, Colorado College and NPR station KRCC 91.5, 98.9 Magic FM, KKMG Classic Rock 98.1 and on Rocky Mountain PBS. And to further encourage voting, we are giving away an Apple iPad each week!

Those who complete one valid BO10 Ballot will be entered into a drawing each week to win an iPad. Vote in the first week, you get 4 chances to win. Vote in the last week, you only get one.

Readers and advertisers will be able to take full advantage of their e-mail list and social media networks to get everyone voting with tools provided by the Independent. Promotional materials were specially designed and made available to readers and advertisers who will be able to use them via social media to encourage friends, clients and contacts to log on and vote!

The goals of the Independent’s Best Of Colorado Springs VOTE campaign are to provide publicity and exposure to the Best Colorado Springs has to offer; to double our voting numbers from 2009; and to create a Best Of list that is truly determined by the community. All will be revealed on Oct. 14 and Oct. 21, in two good-fortune-filled issues.
